Family reunions have been coming to Forrest Hills for years. With all that we have to offer, small families are also starting to make us their home away from home. Enjoy home-style meals in our Hideaway Dining Room. One thing is for sure...you will not go away from Forrest Hills hungry!
Breakfast is available daily & typically consists of:
- Scrambled eggs
- Country bacon
- Sausage
- Fresh biscuits and gravy
- Cheese grits
- Pancakes or french toast
- Fruit
- Cereal
- Coffee, orange juice and ice water.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, breakfast is always served in our Hideaway Dining Room. Midweek, depending on your family's size and the number of other family and group guests breakfast is served in either our Secret Garden Dining Room or in our Hideaway Dining Room.
FAMILY LUNCH:
- SUNDAYS: Forrest Hills is open to the public every Sunday from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Reservations are not required but are appreciated for parties of 8 or more.
- AVAILABLE DAILY: Picnic basket lunches or boxed lunches are available daily with advance notice. Picnic Basket Lunch for 3 is $40 ~ Picnic Lunch for 4 is $50 and you get to keep the basket. Small families just need to let us know the night before.
- AVAILABLE DAILY: Boxed lunches $10 each. Just let us know the night before you want it.
FAMILY DINNERS
- Forrest Hills Resort is known for its great Southern style, home-cooked food. Dinners include salad, at least two entree options, side dishes, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages.
- DINNER TO GO: As a convenience to small families, dinner is available To Go. You can
pick it up at the restaurant and take it back to your cabin or room. Advance notice is required by 2pm daily. Discounted dinner rates apply: Adults & Children ages 12 & up $10. Children 4-11 are $6. 7% sales tax will be added and gratuity will not be charged. This service is available to parties of less than 8 guests only.
- To be honest, at night we cater to couples and groups. As mentioned before, we have two dining rooms. At night however, the Secret Garden Dining Room is for couples only. With the exception of Spring Break, unless we are serving a group (a group being 8 or more guests), the Hideaway Dining Room is closed. We recognize that dinner dining tends to be a special meal time. Small families (less than 8 guests), when mixed with larger groups don't always get the service you so deserve and the last thing we want is for your family to feel lost in the shuffle.
- Having said that, now that you know the truth about our operation here, if you would like to dine in along with a group as a convenience to you we will be happy to make those arrangements whenever possible. Adults and children ages 12 & up $16. Children 4-11 $10 ~ Ages 3 and under FREE. Tax will be added but gratuity will not be automatically charged unless you have 8 or more guests.
Not to worry though, should you be looking for a special dining experience, Dahlonega has a wide variety of restaurants ranging from fast food to upscale. So whether you're looking for American, Italian, home style, oyster bar, an Irish pub or anything in-between you can find it here in Dahlonega. Our staff will be happy to direct you to the local favorites!
