 Private cabins with hot tubs and fireplaces to relax in plus a restaurant with separate dining rooms for candle lit dinners, banquets and casual group meals, a resort spa, horseback riding, outdoor pool, fitness center and two mile walking trail all within walking distance of your Georgia mountain cabin or group lodge.Forrest Hills Mountain Resort is located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains just minutes away from the beginning of the Appalachian trail and just an hour drive from the North side of Atlanta. Our business is equally divided between couples, groups and weddings. People often wonder how we manage to accommodate 3 diverse markets such as these but being situated on 140 acres makes it easy. We are frequently asked by our guests if they are the only ones on property when the reality is we could possibly have up to 200 guests on site at that time. We are not your typical resort. Many people often associate the word "resort" with images of glamorous accommodations, extreme manicured lawns, plated meals that are beautiful (but still leave you hungry) and require you to wear heals or a tie, bell hops and valet parking. We are not that...we are a North Georgia resort that allows you to kick back, relax and be yourself. We do landscape to enhance the beauty of our resort and we make sure your rooms are clean and comfortable. We offer an office staff that will cater to your particular needs including a full time group coordinator, wedding coordinator or vacation specialist. Three Dining Rooms Our restaurant has three separate dining rooms to cater to the individual needs of our diverse markets. Our couples only dining room is affectionately known as "The Secret Garden" while our "Hideaway" is used for informal group dining and our "Rose Garden" dining rooms is used for more formal banquets and wedding receptions. We specialize in southern style menus and hospitality that often remind our guests of being at their grandmother's house. Our guests come to Forrest Hills Resort the first time for the beauty of the North Georgia mountains and great accommodations but they always come BACK for the food! Additionally, in keeping with our new wellness center we can accommodate special dietary needs including gluten-free, vegan, dairy allergies and organic, raw-food menus available for groups. Accommodations 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 12 and 16 room cabins and group lodges on property for a total of 111 rooms. All of our 1 bedroom cabins, 2 bedroom cabins, 3 bedroom cabins and 5 bedroom cabins all have a hot tub, fireplace and kitchenette and more. Our 8 bedroom lodges, 12 bedroom lodges and 16 bedroom "group hotels' each feature a hospitality room that's perfect for informal gatherings and they either have a private outdoor hot tub or access to our outdoor group hot tub. Each bedroom in our group hotels have a private bath. Bed and breakfast rooms and luxury king suites are also available. Seven Meeting Rooms We offer seven meeting rooms on site. Some are located within the group hotel while our conference center which can seat up to 225 guests theater style is located within easy walking distance to four of our main group lodges as well as our restaurant. Being located in North Georgia makes us centrally located to guests from Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. We are a popular destination on weekends for family reunions, church retreats, marriage retreats and more. During the week we are frequently filled with executive retreats, management retreats, corporate events, team building plus leadership retreats, day meetings and planning boards. Weddings & Receptions From intimate weddings for two to destination weddings for up to 200 we truly have it all. Two picturesque outdoor garden gazebos for that perfect outdoor wedding all of our brides dream up plus a chapel that's worth it's weight in gold which can be used for the brides that prefer inside...or as a weather related back up! In addition we have three unique reception rooms that are perfect for receptions with 25, 50, or 75 to 200 guests, We offer all-inclusive ceremony and reception packages that have everything you could need and want for the perfect wedding day or wedding weekend! Our Resort Spa ~ Affectionately known as "Anidawehi Plantation Spa & Wellness Center" Relax and get pampered in our brand new 8,000 square foot spa and wellness center. Spa services include massage therapy, hot stone massage, natural wax facials and more along with colonics, wellness programs, raw food preparation classes and so much more! In-cabin massage along with chair massage service for groups also available. Gold City Corral and Carriage Company ~ Independently owned & operated. A favorite among all of our guests featuring horseback riding through the North Georgia mountains, romantic carriage rides, wedding carriage service PLUS scenic, horse-drawn wagon rides to the river house for a steak and chicken cookout with live entertainment! Fitness Center For those of you who don't want to miss your workout while away from home you are certain to enjoy the variety of nautilus equipment that can be found here. Over 30 machines available! Walking Trails Over two miles of walking trails can be found surrounding the resort allowing you to stroll through the splendor of the North Georgia with views of the Blue Ridge mountains and full of wild flowers. Take an early stroll and you're almost certain to see deer and other natural wild life as we are surrounded on two sides by the Chattahoochee national forest.
