Dear Forest Hills,

My name is Craig Earon and we had my daughter's wedding at your facilities on November 5, 2011. Needless to say this was a big family event. Months of family planning went into the event, and as expected, the fall leaves there at Forest Hills seemed timed for maximum impacts for our outdoor event. The weather also cooperated providing us with the perfect sunny day for a wedding.

When we arrived Saturday morning to prepare for the lunchtime wedding, your staff was already hard at work setting up our outdoor ceremony and it was very reassuring to leave that preparation to your capable staff. When the time arrived for our guest to be seated, the gazebo and lawn was picture perfect!

Everything for the wedding went like clockwork. The horse drawn carriage arrived on time and the driver did an excellent job at setting the Bride at ease, even taking the time to follow the road on the sunny side to warm the Bride for the trip in cool temperatures. At the designated stop a short distance from the gazebo, he radioed ahead to set this wedding into motion. Everything went like clockwork. Our guests were very complimentary of our venue and ceremony. We could not have been more pleased.

After the ceremony, everyone came down to the Secret Garden for our wedding reception. Throughout the reception your staff attended to every request of our guests. The food was excellent, the facilities were romantic and we had a very enjoyable afternoon. Many guest told us it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended.

Since the event occurred months after we booked, earlier in the week we had rain and there was a concern that we would have to move indoors to the chapel. It was prepared in advance for that reason and while it may not have been used, it was very nice to know any situation had a solution ready, just in case. That attention to details certainly ranks high for emotional days such as this. It was a concern that your facilities and staff obviously plan for. My wife and myself were freed of those worries and were able to enjoy the wedding as much as our guests.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience not only for the Bride and Groom, but her parents as well. We are very pleased and want to thank you and your staff for the excellent work they did. I would recommend Forest Hills Mountain Resort to anyone looking to have a very memorable event. Please let everyone there know their hard work made our wedding a successful family event. We enjoyed ourselves as much as we enjoyed your resort!

This letter is long overdue and should have been sent a couple of years ago.  Karen and I have had the pleasure of working at Forrest Hills Resort for a couple of years and it never fails to amaze us at how smoothly events run here.  Kathy, the resident wedding coordinator, makes sure that each Bride and her guests are made to feel comfortable, that every ceremony is a "walk in the park" and every reception is a joyous one.  As a florist,  going into a reception facility and finding everything already in place and ready to go is a rare treat.  Joanna Kraft and her staff are amazing.  We have never had to wait or want for anything, and we are always greeted with a smile and "Let us know if we can help you."  We do a lot of weddings in the Atlanta area and have worked at a lot of different venues and Forrest Hills Resort gets 5 Stars in our book.

I just wish to thank you for helping my daughter's day be the best it could have possibly been.  Everyone had a blast.  We were able to meet and get to know and love our new family while staying at Mt. Laurel Inn.  The ceremony at the gazebo was absolutely beautiful.  The children enjoyed the petting zoo.  My niece said it best "I never knew that weddings could be so much fun."  Thanks again for making our daughter and son-law's day so special.

I cannot begin to thank you enough! What a perfect day our wedding was! You handled everything so wonderfully, there's no way I could have pulled off such an amazing day without all your efforts, and the efforts of everyone at the resort. I'm sure there were many people that helped with everything and I hope you will thank each of them for us. Even though I was unbelievably nervous before hand, I should have known you would take care of everything for me. All I had to do was show up and walk down the aisle! Chris and I have received nothing but praise from the guests at the wedding for how beautiful everything was, but truly the praise should go to you and the people that helped make it all possible. My October 2008 Wedding
I am so sorry it has taken me so long to write. I am sure you can imagine how busy things can be when you take over a week off of work…hehe. I just wanted to send you an email to thank you for everything!!! Eric and I still can’t believe how perfect everything was all weekend long. I didn’t really have to worry about anything because you took care of all of it for me. I can’t even begin to tell you how much we appreciate it! I am especially grateful of how you took care of our unity cake. I was worried that it wouldn’t work because we didn’t really make very good plans for it, but you said you would take care of it and it all turned out great! Everyone from the resort was great!!! It was just a perfect weekend and it was just how Eric and I hoped it would be. Everyone said they had a great time and they all said that Forrest Hills was a perfect venue. Having everyone in Tree Topper was so much fun!!! I have nothing but great things to say about Forrest Hills. I even told a friend about you guys and she visited Forrest Hills and set her date for June. I could go on forever in this email but it would never really describe how grateful and thankful I am to you and everyone at Forrest Hills! So I guess I will just say thank you and that I will recommend you to anyone and everyone that I can!

Our Wedding
My husband (then fiancee) Kevin and I both love the mountains and being outdoors.  We knew that we wanted an outdoor ceremony with lots of trees and flowers but an indoor reception.  At the time we lived in Marietta, Georgia and that area didn't offer us many venues with our criteria that was within our budget.  I started looking online and found a nice little resort with every amenity , including horseback riding and spa services,  called Forrest Hills.  The first thing I saw on their wedding page was a horse carriage and I was pretty much sold.  We also had a lot of people coming in from out of town and liked the idea of the lodges being on the property.   When we went to Forrest Hills to look around and figure out the pricing of the packages we fell in love.  It was perfect! The location was perfect also because we had family coming from Memphis and South Carolina and it was kind of a middle way point for everyone. 
The wedding party was very happy because they all had their own cabins with hot tubs.  Knowing that our guests enjoyed themselves on a little  "weekend getaway"  really made us happy.   Kathy, the wedding coordinator , was a great help!  I almost felt like I didn't even have to plan anything. She took care of a lot and was very prepared and helpful.  The food was great also!   Every guest I had said they hadn't had better food at a wedding and that also made us extremely happy.  Also, Michele did a great job with my pictures!!  We love to pull them out and show guests and friends.  One of the best things was that once our family and friends arrived we could all be together all weekend because we were within walking distance of each other.  There were no worries of people being lost or not on time and that really cuts down the stress level!  Everything came together so perfectly that I would recommend Forrest Hills to anyone.  Even if you don't want your ceremony to be outdoors there's a chapel and it is really cute also.  It rained on our wedding day so we had to try to beat the rain after the ceremony and didn't get a very long carriage ride as newlyweds but still got a little one and we loved it.   I would have to say that the most memorable moment of the whole weekend was riding with my dad in the carriage on the way to the ceremony.  We cried and laughed and it's a moment I will definitely treasure!
