Waterfalls & Picnic Spots

Visit Amicalola Falls State Park ust 5 minutes away from us. The tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi.  ZIPLINE & ARCHERY NOW AVAILABLE HERE!  There’s also 475 steps alongside the falls if you are in need of a workout and a playground at the park for the little ones.

Easy viewing is available by driving to the bottom of the falls by the reflection pool or by driving to the top where a short walk takes you to the top of the falls with a great mountain view.

EDGE OF THE WORLD:  Edge of the world is located about 10 minutes from Forrest Hills this has become a favorite picnic spot. Parts of this riverside trail are ADA compliant. Picnic lunches are available through Forrest Hills.

On clear days you can see approximately 40 to 50 miles and take in the Atlanta Skyline, Stone Mountain, Kennesaw Mountain and the beginnings of the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountain ranges of North Georgia.

And, our local attraction, Lake Sidney Lanier, a 30,000 plus acre manmade lake built and maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is one of the largest manmade lakes East of the Mississippi River and it is the most visited Corps of Engineers lake in the country.

If the winds are with us, they may even be able fly you over the beautiful blue waters of Lanier.
